ON ROAD RACING TIPS

For those of you who enjoy on road racing, here are some tips for you to consider:
  1. Use foam tires instead of rubber tires, foam tires will give your car a better grip on the asphalt.
  2. Protect your car; never run it without the body on.
  3. Protect your engine by using zip ties. Place four zip ties around the first cooling fin from the top. This way the engine will not rub against the hard asphalt.
  4. Only change one setting at a time on your car, i.e. ride height or camber setting.
  5. Get to the track early so you can make adjustments to your car.

OFF ROAD RACING TIPS

If you love to race in the dirt or are into backyard bashing here are some tips for you to consider:
  1. Keep your car clean, a clean car will last longer and while cleaning it you will notice if anything is bent or broken.
  2. Apply a thin coat of WD-40 to the plastic and metal pieces of your car it will keep things lubricated and make clean up easier. (Do not overdue the WD-40 a little goes a long way)
  3. Buy several sets of tires each race track is different and you want the best tracksion you can get.
  4. Carry a good supply of spare parts with you, nothing like having to sit out on the fun because of a $5.00 part.
  5. Invest in a temperature gun and a good battery charger.
  6. Place zip ties on your body clips to help in thier removal and installation.
  7. Get to the track early so you have time to tune and set up your car.
